2nd presentation and demonstration of the Mobile Green Point in Krystalopigi and Agios Germanos
The Municipality of Prespa organizes the 2nd presentation and demonstration of the Mobile Green Point which was acquired and operates within the GREENPOINT-MOB project, co-funded by the INTERREG – IPA CBC GREECE-ALBANIA Program 2014-2020, on Tuesday 13th of October in Krystalopigi and Agios Germanos.
The project concerns the upgrading of the waste management-recycling system with the development of mobile green spots in the cross-border area of Greece – Albania, in combination with awareness actions and promotion of the recovery of recyclable materials by “seperate at source”.
The project is close to the production of measurable results, since the Green Point is in full operation in collaboration with the new bins of the four main streams of recyclable materials that have been placed in all communities of Prespa Municipality. The geographical mapping of the bin network in combination with the portability of the Mobile Green Point, offers citizens the opportunity to recycle additional materials, without being limited to the four main flows.
